As we have discussed before, developing a relationship with your source is important for many reasons. It is important in bringing you closer to your true essence. It is important in consciously creating using the Law of Attraction. It is important in giving you a sense of purpose. It is also important in helping to guide you.
One simple way in which you can start developing a relationship with your source is to ask for daily inspiration. When you get daily inspiration it can go a long way towards helping you to stay focused, inspired and centered on your goals. There are also many other benefits to this practice:
1. It helps you develop trust with your source.
2. It is easier than trying to decipher an answer from a question you asked source. Having said this, we do encourage you to ask questions, however, if you are new to spiritual guidance, getting daily inspirations is a far more easier process.
3. It reminds you that source is there with you all the time.
4. It reminds you that source does communicate with you in many different ways.
5. The message source is sending you is applicable to your needs in that moment. This message could be the key tool that you are missing in consciously manifesting.
6. It raises your vibration. This is because when you get inspiration, it opens your heart, which naturally raises your vibration.
### What you could Ask
Have a phrase that you repeat daily to ask for guidance from your source. For instance:
- thank you for showing me inspiring stories of people who have done what I wish to do (substitute whatever it is that you wish to do)
- thank you for showing me messages that keep me motivated
- thank you for showing me inspirational signs in nature
- thank you for showing me a quote today that will help to motivate me to keep going
### Write it Down
As [Spiritual Guidance Tips #1](https://www.seekwithinyou.com/blogs/161-spiritual-guidance-tips-1) suggests, write it down in your spiritual journal. In this way, you can keep track of the messages you are receiving. This could prove to be very instrumental in your spiritual journey. For instance, you may be getting messages that have a theme or that are pointing you in a direction to reach your goals. If you make a point to write it in your spiritual journal and review it often, you may start to see the big picture.
### Message for New Beginners
Everyone has a different idea of what is meant by source and quite frankly some people are scared at the idea of communicating with the nonphysical. This is due in part to a plethora of stories of ghosts and “evil” spirits as well as religious beliefs, childhood experiences, etc.
As a result, to make sure we are all on the same “playing field” as far as who we are communicating to in the nonphysical, we suggest that you start with a message similar to this:
> "This message is directed to my higher source/spiritual guides/god that is of the highest vibration of love and has my best interest in mind. Let's start a conversation together. I would like to strengthen my communication with you and develop a relationship in which we understand each other clearly. Let's start with showing me signs that I clearly understand when I ask a question. Make it very obvious to me. Perhaps, play a song in my head so that I know it is from you.”
Note: You can substitute playing a song in your head with whatever you desire. **Make sure that you ask for guidance from that which is of the highest vibration though**.
